This course is an introduction to developmental psychology. It provides a broad survey of psychological research and theories about human development across a lifespan. It emphasizes the interaction of physical, cognitive and socio-emotional domains from infancy to old age. The main focus of the course is on normative development, however aspects of abnormal development are also covered. Specific methodological challenges and procedures relevant to development research are also discussed.
