September 21 – Introduction to Research on Sustainable Food Systems
Class Content
In this class, we will explore different ways of thinking about sustainable food systems, food sovereignty, and knowledge. We will consider how these perspectives can shape the questions we ask, the knowledge we value, and the ways we approach research.
We will also introduce our collective research project on the Bishop’s Educational Farm. Together, we will begin exploring how the farm can create benefits within the Bishop’s community, strengthen relationships with surrounding communities, and contribute to campus-community food sovereignty.
